Stephanie E. Christy, age 91 of White Cloud, passed away Tuesday evening, June 30, 2009 at the Mecosta County Medical Center in Big Rapids. Stephanie was born on June 16, 1918 in Bellville, Michigan to Felix and Anelia Weglarz and met and later married Charles Chuck Christy on December 30, 1940 and together they moved to the Goodwell Township area in 1977. Chuck preceded her in death on January 13, 2006. Stephanie had worked in the retail yarn and fabric sales for many years until her retirement. Stephanie has been a lifelong Detroit Tigers Fan, enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, and playing cards. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had enjoyed crocheting and made many crochet items for family and friends over the years.

She is survived by her children, Don (Becky) Christy of Pinconning, Michigan; Marsha (Michael) Preston of Marquette, Michigan; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Christy of Cheboygan; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; her sisters and brother, Angeline Milkowski of Warren, Michigan; Lottie Olejnik of Macomb, Michigan; Steve (Nancy) Weglarz of Davison; many loved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles F. Christy on September 14, 2004 and by her brothers and sisters, Agnes, Frank, Anna, Albert, Walter, Helen, Stanley, and Felix

VISITATION : Monday, July 6, 2009 at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel from 12-2pm. FUNERAL SERVICES : Monday at 2pm at the funeral home. INTERMENT : Goodwell Twp. Cemetery.
