Stephanie A. Jonaitis, age 95 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Stephanie was born on August 28, 1917 in Muskegon Heights to John and Victoria (Krol) Folta and later married George Jonaitis on September 4, 1937 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Brunswick.. George preceded her in death in 1954. Stephanie has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area where she had worked at Wandas Restaurant and Wolverine Worldwide for several years until her retirement. Stephanie had been an active member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud where she been involved in the Alter Society. Stephanie had also enjoyed crocheting, the sewing group, flower gardening, canning and watching the Price Is Right. Stephanie was always in the mood for a game of scrabble and enjoyed family activities. Stephanie is survived by her children, George (Karen) Jonaitis of Jenison; Michael (Elsa Rae) Jonaitis of White Cloud; Joseph (Jane) Jonaitis of Portland; Christine (David) Velton of San Juan Capistrano, California; Therese (Don) Aldrich of Big Rapids; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; her brother, Al (Millie) Folta; her daughter-in-law, Susan Jonaitis Carlson. She was preceded in death by her son, John and her daughter, Victoria; her sisters Antoinette Sherwood, Sophia Wilcox; her brothers, Joseph who died at age 4, and Michael who died at childbirth and Julian Folta. VISITATION : Monday, March 11, 2013 from 4-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel 1109 Court Street with SCRIPTURE SERVICES at 7pm at the funeral home. MASS OF RESURRECTION : Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 11am at the St. Joseph Catholic Church 965 E Newell Street in White Cloud. INTERMENT : St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
