Stephen Baker, age 57, of Howard City passed away on December 25, 2014. Stephen was born on April 25, 1957, in Munising to Jerry Robert and Mamie Ethel (Hyde) Mumper and had been a steamfitter. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the UA Local #174 West Michigan Plumbers, Steamfitters, and Service Trades. Stephen also proudly served this country in the United States Air Force. Stephen is survived by his children, Joseph (Amanda) Baker of Minnesota, Jessica Powers of Howard City, Nicholas Baker of Howard City, and Treva Plants of Pierson; grandchildren, Michaella Baker, Amelia Baker, Samantha Baker, Abigail Baker, Rosiyah Baker, Josephina Baker, Allysa Baker, and Liam Powers; and brother, Tony (Michelle) Baker of Holton. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Mumper and wife, Karen. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at the Crandell Funeral Home in White Cloud with visitation prior to the service starting at 2 PM.
