Stephen "Steve" E. Randolph, a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, peacefully departed this world on Wednesday, January 14th, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on June 13th, 1938, in the town of Lexington, Michigan but resided in Hesperia. Steve lived a life filled with love, adventure, and service.
Steve was a proud Navy veteran, having served his country with dedication for four years. After his military service, he pursued a career with Consumers Energy, where he worked diligently and from which he eventually retired after 26 years. His love for the open road led him to become an enthusiastic member of the Gold Wing motorcycle group, where he shared many journeys with fellow riders. Steve was also a man deeply connected to the land, enjoying his days farming and embracing the simplicity and rewards of nature. In addition to farming, he spent years as a truck driver, a profession that further fueled his love for travel and exploration.
Steve is survived by his loving children; Tim (Paula) Randolph, Todd (Lisa) Randolph, and Julie (Terry) Keuvelaar. He was a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren and cherished his several great-grandchildren. Steve is also survived by his siblings Douglas, Dennis, and Tom Randolph, along with his brother and sister-in-law, Byron Fairchild Sr. and Nila Clark. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Peggy (Fairchild) Randolph, his parents, Bernard and Dorothy Randolph, and his brother, Charles (Sandy) Randolph.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Crandell Funeral Homes - Fremont Chapel on Monday, January 19th, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
