Steven A. Barnes, age 48 of Newaygo, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at his home. Steven was born on March 7, 1965 in Ionia to Thomas Albert and Mary Lou (Hunt) Barnes and later married Peggy Dover on December 29, 1995 in Missouri. Steven had worked as a mason in the construction industry and enjoyed fishing, joking with people, helping people, and spending time with his family. Steven is survived by his wife, Peggy of Newaygo; Breanna Barnes of Newaygo; Rose Pennell of Petosky; Jessica Barnes of Newaygo; his mother and father, Thomas and Mary Lou Barnes of Sheridan; his brother, Jeffery Barnes of Newaygo; his sister, Tammy (Donald) Getts of Sheridan; several aunts, uncles and cousins. VISITATION : Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 10-12 at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with FUNERAL SERVICES at 12pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : Newaygo Cemetery.
