Steven Richard Drake, age 67, of Fremont passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Spectrum Health in Big Rapids. Steve was born on April 24, 1955, in Fremont to Gerald Oscar and Maureen (Gibson) Drake and married Janet Lynn Warner on August 9, 1980, in Fremont. Steve had worked at Howmet in Whitehall and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, his cats, and riding his Harley. Steve is survived by his wife, Janet; sons, Jason Richard Drake of Fremont and Christopher Wayne Drake of Fremont; and brother David Drake of Twin Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Maureen and sister-in-law, Linda Warner. The family would like to thank Dr. Randall Ceton, the Spectrum Hospital staff in Big Rapids, and his caregivers at Mission Point Nursing and Physical Rehabilitation Center for their kindness and care for Steve over the past years. Graveside services with military honors will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.
