Steven Vanderboegh, age 48 of Twin Lake and Mackinaw Island, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 3, 2011 near Cheboygan, Michigan following a vehicle accident. Steve was born on May 5, 1963 in Muskegon, Michigan and later married Roberta Jackson on August 1, 1986 in Holton. Steve was a private pilot for Living Essentials based in Farmington Hills, Michigan and has been a pilot for various other corporations during which time, Steve has flown all over the world. Steve enjoyed as aspects of flying and had restored several airplanes. Steve enjoyed spending time on Mackinac Island and working with his son, restoring their DeLorean. Steve especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Steve is survived by his wife, Bobbie of Twin Lake; his daughter, Ashley Vanderboegh and his son, Alex Vanderboegh; his parents, Ron & Zola Vanderboegh of Twin Lake; his sisters, Vicki (Fritz) Hawes of Holton; Connie (Brian) Bruursema of Grand Haven; several aunts and uncles. VISITATION : Monday, December 12, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Monday, December 12, 2011 at 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : Mackinac Island Protestant Cemetery.
