Susan B. Frens, age 74 of Fremont, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2020 at her home. Sue was born on April 19, 1945 in Milwaukee to Walter F. and Pauline M. (Edbrooke) Plantiko and moved to Fremont in 1953. Susan met and married Ron Frens on June 9, 1961 in Fremont. Sue started working at the Meadows Nursing Center in Fremont when the facility originally opened and later became Transitional Health Services, as a nurse's aid, physical therapist and later retired from the housekeeping department after 35 years in 2008. Sue enjoyed her horses, cats, flower gardening, having luncheons with her sisters and girls from work. She had enjoyed bowling, camping and snowmobiling in her younger years. Sue especially treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed Halloween and Easter egg hunts with them. Susan is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ron of Fremont; her daughters, Terri (Jeff) Luchies of Fremont; Sherri (Bill) Whitney of Fremont; Merri (Tom) Pell of Fremont; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; her sisters, Barb (Ted) Clark of Fremont; Dale Sackett of Twin Lake; her sister-in-law, Joyce (Dick) Fowler of Swartz Creek, Michigan; several nieces and nephews. Sue was preceded in death by her mother, Pauleen Cousineau and father, Walter Plantiko. RECEPTION AND TIME OF REMEMBERANCE: Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 12-3pm at the Fremont Moose Lodge 15 W. Main Street Fremont MI 49412. INTERMENT: Maple Grove Cemetery.
