Tara A. McFarlin, age 43 of Grant, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020 following a short illness. Tara was born on April 2, 1977 in Muskegon to William and Linda (Clark) Pearson and graduated from Fruitport High School in 1995. Tara then continued her education and became a Medical Assistant for 20 years and currently worked at Spectrum Health in Grant. Tara loved her job and taking care of people, enjoyed the Michigan outdoors and spending time at the family cabin in Irons, attended the Harvest Church in Fremont and was simply a happy person with a lovely smile. Tara's greatest joy was her daughter, Kendra and son, Wyatt. Tara is survived by her children, Kenda McFarlin of Newaygo; Wyatt of Newaygo; her mother, Linda Pearson of Muskegon; her brothers and sister, Dan (Cathi) Yates of Kernersville, North Carolina; John (JoAnne) Yates of Fruitport; Jayelynn (Brad) Kostamo of Fruitport; her significant other, Shane Sanborn of Newaygo; many dearly loved nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends. Tara was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Pearson.
