Eastling, Ted E. Theodore Ted Leon Eastling, age 66 of Bitely, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2005 at his home. Ted was born on June 2, 1938 in Grand Haven to Loren G. and Juanita Alice Taylor and later married Louise Buchholz on December 30, 1989 in Twin Lake. He has been a resident of the Bitely area for the past 15 years when he moved from Twin Lake. Ted had been a color tanner at Eagle Ottawa Leather Company in Grand Haven for many years until his retirement and was a member of the Woodville Community Church. Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, winning lottery tickets and playing cards and was a veteran of the Post Korean Era where he served in the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife, Louise of Bitely; his children, George A. Eastling of Nunica; Corine (Barry) Pastor of Muskegon; Troy Eastling; his mother, Juanita Eastling of Muskegon; many grandchildren; his stepchildren, Sandra McCormick of Brownstown, Michigan; Cynthia Gray of Auburn Hills, Michigan; his brothers and sisters, Asa Paul (Deanna) Eastling of Zephyr Hills, Florida; Bearle R. (Marilyn) Eastling of Walhalla, Michigan; Lenora (Marine) Goodin of Sun City, Florida; his stepsister, Janice Hansen of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his son, Theodore L. Eastling Jr. in 1983 and by his brother, Leon G. Eastling Jr. in 1983. Funeral memorial services were held in May at the Woodville Community Church following cremation.
