Prestly, Theodore Henning Colon and formerly of White Cloud Theodore H. Prestly, age 82, of Colon passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2002 at his home following a long illness. He was born on January 2, 1920 , in Evertt Township to Percy Duke and Louise (Oerkfitz) Prestly and and attended the White Cloud Public Schools. He married Ruby VanVorst on July 8, 1977 , at the White Cloud United Methodist Church. Ear;y in his life he farmed, worked for the city of White Cloud, was a factory worker, and retired in 1981 as a surveyor for a utility construction company. Theodore is survived by his loving wife Ruby of Colon; sons, Ted G. (Charlene) Prestley of White Cloud, and Gordon (Cathy) Prestly of Fremont; daughters, Patricia (John) Davis of Ithaca, and Donna (Phillip) Keister of Lyons; 4 stepchildren, Raymond Rowland of Mendon, Suzanna Arborgast of Burr Oak, James Rowland of Colon, and Ronald Rowland of Colon; 9 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters Helen Balluf and Mamie Gaidamauice. Services were held on Wednesday, August 28, 2002 , from the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in White Cloud with Mr. David Farrell officiating. Interment is in the Big Prairie Township Cemetery .
