Theresa Ann DeWeerd, age 50 of Grant, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at her home. Theresa was born on July 4, 1960 in Deckerville, Michigan to Larry and Martha (VanDalen) Walters and later married Warren DeWeerd on September 15, 2007. Theresa had attended the Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music and enjoyed gardening, watching the birds and attended the Fremont Assembly of God Church. Therese especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Nick DeWeerd Jr. Theresa is survived by her husband, Warren of Grant; her son, Nick (Becky) DeWeerd of Grant; her grandson, Nick DeWeerd Jr.; her parents, Larry & Martha Walters of Croton; her sister, Sandra Withrow of White Cloud; her mother-in-law, Emma DeWeerd of Coopersville; sister-in-law, Michelle Walters of White Cloud; nieces and nephews, Jessie, Cody, Jon and Shane Withrow; Christopher and Savanna Walters. Theresa was preceded in death by her brother, Wesley Walters on September 28, 2010. VISITATION : Friday, April 15, 2011 from 12-2pm at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel.
