Theresa F. Herring Rottman, age 84 of Fremont, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Theresa was born on November 2, 1930 in Fremont to Roch and Georgia (Hysell) Dore. She has been a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Fremont High School. Theresa married O.L. Herring on December 11, 1954 in Brunswick and O.L. preceded her in death on November 16, 1985. She later married Julius Rottman on June 10, 1989 in Holton and Julius preceded her in death on May 24, 2005. Theresa had worked at the Roosink Storage for several years and had been a homemaker all her life. She was a member of the Holton United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading, was well known for her baking and cooking, enjoyed watching and feeding birds and making and sending cards to friends and family. Theresa especially treasured the time she spent with her family including her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Theresa is survived by her children, Marcia Herring of Muskegon; Kathy (Randy) Daniels of Hesperia; Sharon (Andy) Pell of Fremont; Barbara Herring of Fremont; William (Ellie) Herring of Holton; Tom Herring of Holton; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; her sister, Mary Follett of Holton; her brother, Charlie (Gayle) Dore of Holton. Her step children, Bob (Sharon) Rottman of Fremont; Dave (Paula) Rottman of Arkansas; Barb Waybill of Fremont; 6 step grandchildren; 9 step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Theresa was preceded in death by her daughter, Darlene Herring on May 3, 1998; her great grandson, Logan Garvey; her brother and sister-in-law, Pete and Nancy Dore and her brother-in-law, Verne Follett. VISITATION : Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 4-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel and Thursday 10:30-11:30am at the Holton United Methodist Church. FUNERAL SERVICES : Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 11:30am at the Holton United Methodist Church (9530 Holton-Duck Lake Road Holton MI 49425) with Pastor Jerry Selleck presiding.
