Shaw Jr., Thoes Alwyn Mr. Theos Alwyn Shaw Jr., age 75 of Fremont, passed away Friday, April 14, 2000, at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility following a long illness. He was born on March 31, 1925 in Muskegon Heights to Theos A. Shaw Sr. and Velma (Fields) Shaw and married Nina Travis on March 1, 1952 in Muskegon. Theos retired from Perfect Circle Division of Dana Corporation after 42 years of service. He was a Past Master of Pilgrim Lodge #180 F. & A. M.; Phoenix Lodge #62 in Indiana; Robert Wood Priory #62; Knight of York Cross of Honor, Rush Chapter #24 R. A. M.; Rushville Council #41 Cryptic Masons; Past Patron of Magnolia Chapter O. E. S.; member of Hesperia-Arcana Lodge #346; life member of the Muskegon Township Fire Department; Eagle Scout and member of the Fremont United Methodist Church in Fremont. Theos also served as Santa Claus in the City of Fremont for 19 years. He is survived by his loving wife Nina; daughters, Vicki (Gary) Brumfield of Fremont; Diana (Rick) Estes of Greenfield, Indiana; 2 grandsons, Travis Brumfield and Ryan Estes; sisters, Norma Ash of Denver, Colorado; Betty Ann Galindo of Muskegon Heights; Maralee Cozart of Florida; and Lora Mary Perry of Muskegon; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 18, 2000 from the Fremont United Methodist Church with Rev. Daniel Duncan and Rev. Bert Vermeulen presiding with interment following in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Muskegon.
