Thomas F. Bernas II, age 39 of Whitehall, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the Trail Point Village Nursing Center in South Bend, Indiana. Thomas was born on August 28, 1977 in Harvey, Illinois to Thomas and Rose (Ingram) Bernas Sr. and graduated from Whitehall High School in 1995. Thomas attended Calvin College where he studied computer security and later started work as a computer security specialist in Chicago. Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting his bow, working with his computer, playing the guitar and listening to music, and video gaming.

Thomas is survived by his mother, Rose Ingram of Twin Lake; his brothers, Curt (Amy) Wright of Whitehall; Bryon Bernas of Indiana; 1 neice and several nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Bernas Sr.

VISITATION : Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 2-4pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. MEMORIAL SERVICES : Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 4pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : St. Benedict Cemetery in Crestwood, Illinois. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Muskegon Bowmen Archery Club.
