Thomas M. Boerma, age 55 of White Cloud, formerly of Morley, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont . He was born on December 28, 1947 in Lakeview to Franklin and Jane Louise (Evans) Boerma Sr. and married Linda Bessie Frazier on April 27, 1979 in Big Rapids. Linda Bessie preceded him in death on March 14, 1998 . Thomas had been a production worker at Dura in Fremont and was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and also served for 10 years in the Army National Guard. He was a member of the Croton American Legion Post #381 and a true sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his children, Troy Andrew Boerma of White Cloud; Christina (Dan) Koch of Manistee; 2 grandchildren, Donald and Lindsie Koch; his sister, JoAnn (Ted) Gibbons Sr. of Jerome, Michigan; brothers, Franklin (Martha) Boerma Jr. of Morley; Nicholas (Virginia) Boerma of South Carolina; his stepmother, Esther Boerma of Big Rapids; many nieces and nephews; several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 3, 2003 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Rev. Father Tony Russo of the St. Joseph Catholic Church presiding with interment in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery .
