Thomas W. Cooley, age 62 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly at his home at the HGA Rex Street Home on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Tom was born on December 13,1949 in Newaygo County to Noah Edward and Helen Lucille (Hirsch) Cooley and had been a longtime resident of the Fremont area where he enjoyed riding on the golf cart and being in the sunshine outdoors. Tom is survived by his brother, Robert (Sheila) Cooley of Muskegon; his sister, Peggy Ann Rankins of Holland; several nieces and nephews; and was loved by the caregivers and friends at the HGA Rex Street home in Fremont. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Helen Cooley; his brothers, Eldon, Raymond and Harry Cooley. Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont with Pastor Tom Parks presiding. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the HGA Rex Street Home for memorial contributions in memory of Tom.
