Cordle, Thomas Thomas Cordle, age 80 of Newaygo, completed his last long haul on Tuesday, May 10, 1005 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Thomas was a lifelong Teamster of which he was extremely proud, and he was equally proud of his record of millions of highway miles without an accident. Tom was born on December 15, 1924 in Grayson, Kentucky to Thomas Lambert and Hatti Belle (Martin) Cordle an later met and married Bea McDonnell on May 15, 1942 in Hart, Michigan. Tom and Bea would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on May 15. Tom is survived by his wife, Bea of Newaygo; his children, Tom (Marilyn) Cordle of Tellico Plains, Tennessee; Ferrel (Lois) Cordle of Whitehall; Marquita (Charles) Bazany of Muskegon; Sandra Bernard of Newaygo; Craig Cordle of Newaygo; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother, Charles Linden Cordle; step brother, Guy Fitzgerald; his aunt, Ann Mann. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Curtie. The Cordle Family would like to thank the staff of Gerber Memorial Health Services, especially the nurses in the ICU for their patience, courtesy, kindness, professionalism and sensitivity during Toms stay at the hospital. Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 12, 2005 from the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Pastor Barb Koch of the Body of Christ Church in Newaygo presiding.
