Thomas M. Herring, age 58 of Holton, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at SKLD of Muskegon. Tom was born on August 18, 1962 in Fremont to O.L. and Theresa F. (Dore) Herring and graduated from Holton High School in 1980. Tom had been a production worker at ESCO Chemical in Muskegon for several years until his retirement. Tom was well known for his ability to make people laugh and playing jokes on family and friends and enjoyed playing cards. Tom had a BIG heart and enjoyed helping people when ever he could and would always ask his family about his grandkids, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Tom is survived by his sons, Delbert (Daniella Martinis) Pider of Muskegon; Dwayne (Kimberly) Pider of Twin Lake; 5 grandchildren; his sisters and brother, Marcia Herring of Muskegon; Kathy (Randy) Daniels of Hesperia; Sharon (Andy) Pell of Fremont; Barbara Herring of Fremont; William Herring of Holton; 9 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his father, O.L. Herring; his mother, Theresa F. Rottman; his sister, Darlene Herring; his stepfather, Julius "Jupe" Rottman. Private family graveside services will be held in the summer of 2021 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Holton where burial will take place with his parents. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Holton United Methodist Church or Harbor Hospice in Muskegon for memorial contributions in memory of Tom.
