Tom Moon, age 73, of Muskegon, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013, at the Leila & Cyrus Poppen Hospice Home in Muskegon. Tom was born on August 10, 1939, in Muskegon, to Martin and Louise Margaret (Jorgesen) Moon and married Jean Armour on May 3, 1963 in Brunswick. Tom worked in the human resources department at General Motors, retiring in 1997. Tom enjoyed boating and golfing, served his Country in the Army, and was a longtime member of the Lions Club. Tom is survived by his wife, Jean of Muskegon; children, Debra (Bradley) Dubey of Rockford and Gregory Moon of Seattle Washington; grandchildren, Evan and Landon Dubey; sisters and brother, Margaret Moon of Brunswick, Beatrice (Ade) Kuyper of Grand Haven, and Martin (Janice) Moon of Gaithersburg, Maryland; brother-in-law David (Tammy) Dix of Newaygo; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation gathering will be held at Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont on Friday, February 8, 2013, from 2 4 PM to celebrate his life and meet with family.
