Thomas W. Moorman, age 76 of Fremont and formerly of White Cloud, passed away Friday, November 21, 2008 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Tom was born on July 28, 1932 in Grand Rapids to W. Thomas and Marjorie E. (Bettes) Moorman and met and later married Marilyn J. Boettner on January 5, 1952 in Grand Rapids. Tom and Marilyn had lived at Diamond Lake in White Cloud for 34 years until they moved to Fremont in 2005. Tom had been a electrician at the General Motors Company, Fisher Body Plant on 36th Street for over 37 years until his retirement on March 1, 1998. Tom was a member of the White Cloud Eagles, Aerie Post #4170; had been active in the UAW and GM Retirees Local #730, and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, riding with the Gold Wing Motorcycle Group and the Para-dice Motorcycle Club. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marilyn of Fremont; his children, Pamela J. (Louis) Wisniewski of Freeport, Michigan; Patricia J. Hudson of Sand Lake; Thomas W. (Diane) Moorman of White Cloud; Robert W. Moorman of Fremont; Linda K. Vincent of Crofton, Kentucky; Tim P. (Laura) Moorman of Twin Lake; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; his sister, Donna Mulder of Bryon Center, Michigan; his niece, Debra (Mark) Smith of Byron Center; nephew, Phillip (Chris) Mulder of Dorr. VISITATION : Monday 2-4 & 6-8 FUNERAL SERVICES : Tuesday at 2:30pm at the funeral home. INTERMENT : Maple Grove Cemetery.
