Thor Robert Bob Anderson, age 82 of Twin Lake, went to his eternal home on Monday at Mercy General Health Partners in Muskegon. Bob was born on July 5, 1929 in Muskegon to Thure and Edna (Lantz) Anderson and graduated from Muskegon High School in 1949 where he excelled in the pole vault and track. Bob married Eileen Trygstad on Sept. 30, 1950 and moved to the Twin Lake area in 1952. Bob worked at the Teledyne Continental Motors Company until his retirement after 42 years. Bob has served on the Twin Lake School Board, Civic Assc., and the Twin Lake Fire Department for 18 years. Bob was a member of the Holton Evangelical Lutheran Church where he had served as Chairman, treasurer, deacon and trustee. Bob had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a life member of the Holton American Legion where he served on the Honor Guard and was a life member VFW Post #446. SURVIVORS : his wife of 61 years, Eileen of Twin Lake; children, Nancy (Jim VanArkel) Anderson of Grand Ledge; Robin Anderson of Holton; Janis (Tom) Monette of Holton; Thor Anderson II of Holton; Sally Bonter of Twin Lake; Steven (Lori) Anderson of Twin Lake; Lori (Tom) Posthumus of Spring Lake; Paul (Carisa) Anderson of Mobile, AL; 13 grandchildren, Erin (Brian) Byrnes; Tom (Dawn) Monette; Jake Anderson; Beth (Cory) Anderson; Mike Anderson; Ben Anderson; Thor Anderson III; Chris Bonter; Zach Bonter; Luke Posthumus; Cole Posthumus; Ashlie Anderson; Matt Anderson; 4 great grandchildren, Paige and Sydney Byrnes; Wyatt and Emma Monette; several brothers and sisters-in-laws. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet; sisters, Jean Houlding, Neda Pearo; and twin sister, Betty Trygstad; brother, Ted Anderson. VISITATION : Wed.
