Tom J. Bergklint, age 65, of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Fremont. He was born on June 5, 1946, in Hesperia, to Adolph and Marian (Ressegue) Bergklint and was a graduate of Hesperia High School. Tom married Linda Lou Hendrie on August 25, 1967, in Fremont, and retired from the Research and Development Department at Gerber Products in 2006. Tom had served as Chief of the Fremont Fire Department, and was a member of the Croton American Legion Post #381, Fraternal Order of Eagles in White Cloud, Loyal Order of Moose #1555 in Fremont and Loyal Order of Moose #999 in St. Ignace. Tom is survived by his daughter, Victoria (Scott) Hillard of Jenison; grandson Alex Hillard; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda in 2005, and sister, Marjorie Tanis in 1995. He will be greatly missed by many special friends that he made through his travels and endeavors. Visitation will held on Tuesday evening, August 16, 2011, from 5 8 PM at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at the Funeral Home.
