Tom Elliott, age 61, of Fremont, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2009, at his home. Tom was born on May 24, 1947, in Howell, Michigan to George H. and Agnes (Glonka) Elliott and married Shirley Anderlohr in Fremont on April 16, 1988. Tom was a postal carrier and member of the Fremont Fire Department for many years. He was a member of the Fremont VFW and proud veteran of the Vietnam War. Tom is survived by his wife, Shirley of Fremont; children, Cindy (Rudy) Garcia of Newaygo, Mark (Joann) Bushen of White Cloud, and Jane (David) Gray of South Carolina; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, George (Lorraine) Elliott of Newaygo, Arlene Elliott of Cedar Springs, Mary Ann (Richard) Winzer of Cedar Springs, Margaret Elliott of Grand Rapids, Frances Elliott of Grand Rapids; step daughter-in-law, Peggie DeYoung; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by step-sons, Wayne Lee and Randy Bushen. VISITATION : 2 4 pm Wednesday (2 hours prior to service) at the funeral home. FUNERAL SERVICES : Wednesday 4 pm at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont with Pastor Phil Jones officiating. Military honors were presented by the Newaygo VFW.
