Tris A. Rushing, age 60 of Fremont, formerly of Lakeside Neighborhood in Muskegon, passed away after a 4 year battle against neuroendocrine cancer. Tris was born on August 6, 1956 in Petoskey, Michigan to Eugene F. and Dorothy L. (Derenzy) Huddleston. Tris graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and an Associate's Degree in accounting and worked at Hackley Hospital for 25 years and at Brunswick Bowling and Billiards for 18 years until forced to retire due to her illness. She was an avid reader and could name all the one hit wonders from the 1960's. She played on a pool league for many years and was a great pool player. Tris loved to go to the casino with Jack. She spent several years with each of her children's fathers and the last 28 years with Jack Balcom were her happiest.

Tris is survived by "her one true love", Jack Balcom; her children, Aaron Rushing, Melissa (Michael) Howard; Ariah (Brian) Dunbar; Autumn (Brent) Witteveen; Kimberly (Tony) Del Percio; Collin (Annie) Balcom; her grandchildren, KayC, Onamarie, Dion, Ava, Brett, Carley, Vanessa, Cameron, Zander, Joseph, Malayna, Caely, Aubrey, Kayla, Caden, Alex, Trevor, and Benjamin; her great grandchildren, Kourtney, Cooper, Finnley, and Zoey; her mother, Dorothy Huddleston; her brothers, Mark Huddleston; Mike Huddleston; her nephews, Wyatt and Jessie Huddleston; her uncles and aunts, John (Marrion) Raeth; Patsy Deneke; Gloria (Eddie) Uber; 9 first cousins and many other cousins; Jack's brothers, sister, aunts, uncles and cousins, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her closest friends, Cindy Kelly Alexander; Peggy Gardner; Sandy and Lee Kraley; and Jackie Rees.

VISITATION : Monday, July 24, 2017 from 4-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel 7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412 FUNERAL SERVICES : Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : Jewell Cemetery.
