Trudene Trudy Pence, age 56 of Newaygo, passed away Thursday, June 05, 2008 at her home following a lingering illness. Trudy was born on May 9, 1952 in Pontiac, Michigan to James and Flossie (Watkins) McIntosh and graduated from Walled Lake High School. She met and later married Daniel Pence on February 19, 1972 in Wolverine Lake, Michigan and they have been residents of the area for the past 40 years. Trudy had been a rural mail carrier, starting in Hesperia and later moved to Fremont until her retirement in 2005 after 18 years. Trudy also enjoyed reading. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Daniel of Newaygo; her children, Daniel B. Pence of Newaygo; Brent A. Pence and fianc, Julie Griffith of Newaygo; Jason M. Pence of Fremont; Rebecca A. (Terry) Strong of Fremont; her grandchildren, William Pence, Shelby Strong, Landen Strong; her mother, Flossie McIntosh of Jackson, Kentucky; her sisters and brothers, Paula (Tom) Wilson of Novi; James H. McIntosh of Walled Lake; Diane (Ken) Lambert of Milford; George C. (Shannon) McIntosh of Jackson, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; several brothers and sisters-in-laws. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Pastor Jeff Murchison of the Glory of Latter House Ministries presiding with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
