Trudy Lynn Towne, a cherished resident of White Cloud, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Fennville, Michigan, on February 10, 1960, Trudy lived a rich and vibrant life.
Trudy was a dedicated and skilled welder, whose hard work and commitment to her craft were matched only by the care she showed her family and community. Outside of her profession, Trudy found joy in the serenity of the great outdoors, reading, tending to her flower beds, and navigating some of Michigan’s most beautiful waterways through her love for canoeing. Her passion for puzzles and enthusiasm for Sunday school teaching at her church brought smiles and warmth to many. Trudy had an immense love for decorating for every ocassion whether that be Halloween, Christmas, or Easter. She had an infectious laugh that could light up any room and was renowned for her unique hobby of bottling broken glass found along the lakeshore—a testament to her ability to find beauty in all things.
Left to treasure her memory are her devoted husband of 26 years, Glenn A. Towne, who stood by her side through life's many adventures; her cherished children, Amelia Baker, Amanda DeVroy, Melissa Butchart, and Michael DeVroy; twelve adorable grandchildren who brought immense joy into her life; two precious great-grandchildren and another little one on the way. She is also survived by her siblings, Terry Jeffrey, Tom Jeffrey, and Tammy Davis; her dear parents, Glenn and Joyce Jeffrey, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at New Life Assembly of God in White Cloud, MI, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 1:00 pm, where family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Trudy’s beautiful life. A visitation will precede the service, starting at 12:00 pm, also at New Life Assembly of God.
