Verlin Harold Cregg, age 79, of Grand Rapids passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022, at home. Verlin was born on June 18, 1943, in Holton to Verlin Lewis and Doris E. (Cobb) Cregg and had worked at General Motors and Gerber Products in Fremont. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and yard work in his younger years but was most passionate about his flower gardens up to the day he passed. Verlin attended the Bailey Christian Church. Verlin is survived by his children, Todd Cregg of Grand Rapids, Alicia Chrystler of Fremont, Stephanie (Bob) Dunbar of Fremont, and Aaron (Elizabeth) Cregg of Muskegon; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Joann (Marvin) Lorenze of Muskegon, Janice (Richard) Smith of Twin Lake, Vivian (Paul) Liddle of Illinois, and Robert (Sheila) Cregg of Holton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Verlin and Doris; brother, Mannie Cregg; and step-father, Monte Grove. A Celebration of Life for Verlin will be held at 11 AM on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. There will be a visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service starting at 10 AM. Friends may share memories and condolences with the family at www.crandellfh.com.
