Vesta M. Holbrook, age 96 of Fremont, passed away Monday, March 7, 2005 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Vesta was born on September 24, 1908 in Marshall County, Illinois to John and Alice (Williams) Suggett and later married Charles F. Holbrook on October 1, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois. Charles preceded her in death on August 2, 1996. Vesta had been a secretary at the White Agency in Fremont and the Fremont United Methodist Church until her retirement and was a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Charles J. Holbrook of Grand Rapids; Richard A. (Patricia) Holbrook of Jacksonville, Florida; Robert B. (Patricia A.) Holbrook of Hesperia; Thomas W. Holbrook of Grand Rapids; 12 grandchildren; many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles and by her brothers, John and Lester Suggett. Funeral graveside services were held on Thursday, March 10, 2005 from the West Hesperia Cemetery in Hesperia with Rev. Larry Wood of the Fremont United Methodist Church presiding.
