Vicki Ann Arbogast, age 72, of Hesperia went home to be with her Savior on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at home. Vicki was born on September 6, 1950, in Muskegon to Harry and Katherine Laurel (Mendham) Tanner Jr. and had attended the Church of the Living Christ in Fremont. She was well known for her sewing, especially her quilts and blankets. Besides the ones she made for her children and grandchildren, she made several elaborate quilts for others. Vicki enjoyed reading and listening to books from the local library and passed her love of books, puzzles, and sewing on to her children. Her heart extended past just the love of her own 4 children, as she opened her home up to many others.
In March of 2003, Vicki gained the title of grandma. This was her most cherished role for almost 20 years, as she welcomed all 10 of her grandchildren. She was beyond devoted and loved each of them more than you can measure. From cookie baking, to puzzles, to reading books, or just giving them cuddles, it was clear that every moment she had with them was what kept her going each day. Vicki was strong, fiesty, quick to give to those around her. She would never take anything for herself and would go without if it meant helping someone else. Her generous spirit and love of family will be carried on through generations to follow.
Vicki is survived by her children, Matthew M. (Simona) Arbogast of Hesperia, Mindy M. (Chris) Hammond of Comstock Park, Molly B. (Rory) Lancaster of Hesperia, and Mark M. (Danielle) Arbogast of Hesperia; grandchildren, Nikol, Matyas, Oryan, Max, Zander, Caspian, Faith, Ezekiel, Guinevere, and Galadriel; brother and sisters, Richard (Doris) Tanner of Whitehall, Susan Cribley of Whitehall, Diane (Rick) Tanner of Holton, and Annette (Randy) Cribley of Florida; and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Katherine; brother, Mike Tanner; and brother-in-law, Ken Cribley.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time. Interment will be in South Ferry Cemetery. Friends may share memories and condolences with the Arbogast family at www.crandellfh.com. Arrangements by Crandell Funeral Homes – Fremont Chapel.
