Vicki S. Potter, age 73 of Fremont, passed away Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids. Vicki was born on August 17, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Walter and Marjorie E. (Domber) Reineke and moved to Fremont at an early age. Vicki graduated from Fremont High School in 1955. Vicki had worked at the Gerber Products Company in Fremont for 25 years until her retirement from the consumer response department in 1995. Vicki was an active member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ where she had served as a Deacon, was active in the Womens Fellowship and Social Committee and was co-Chairperson of the Congregational Crafters. Vicki was well known in the area for her hand woven baskets she made and also enjoyed knitting, sewing, quilting, flower gardening and was a former member of the Red Hat Society. Vicki is survived by her husband of 54 years, Don of Fremont; her daughter, Melissa (Todd) Hendrix of Fremont; her son, Todd Potter of Idaho; her grandchildren Elyse Hendrix of Fremont; Kyla Hendrix of Fremont; her great grandson, Braxton Dane Wilder Hendrix of Fremont; her sister, Judith Reineke of Fremont; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 12:30 until the time of the memorial services. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fremont.
