Palmiter, Vickie L, Vickie L. Palmiter, age 55 of Newaygo, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at her home following a long illness. Vickie was born on November 22, 1947 in Chicago , Illinois to Oscar and Nora ( Harrison ) Parker and married Roger Palmiter on August 13, 1966 in New Boston, Michigan. Vickie had been a secretary at Gerber Hospital until her retirement and was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and enjoyed her time with the Wine & Dine Group. Vickie is survived by her husband of 36 years, Roger of Newaygo; her children, Amy (Jeffrey) Sanders of Newaygo; Chad (Leann) Palmiter of Newaygo; Jodie (Nicholas) Ruehmeier of White Cloud; her grandchildren, Megan, Zachary, & Morgan Sanders of Newaygo; her parents, Oscar and Nora Parker of Clarksville, Tennessee; her brother, Lanny (Bonnie) Parker of New Boston, Michigan; her father and mother-in-law, Harley & Erma Palmiter of Newaygo; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 14, 2002 from the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Rev. Richard C. Hoogerhyde of Christ Lutheran Church presiding with interment in the Newaygo Cemetery .
