Vida L. Mast, age 86 of Newaygo, passed away Friday, November 2, 2001 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. She was born on October 6, 1915 in Arcadia, Michigan to James and Erna (Kazinski) Paulson and married Wilbur James Mast on June 17, 1934 in Benzonia, Michigan. Wilber James preceded her in death on December 27, 1984. She has been a resident of the Newaygo Area since 1976 where she had been a homemaker and enjoyed gardening. She was also a member of the United Church of Christ in Newaygo. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Rowley of Newaygo; her grandchildren; Alfred (Tara) Rowley of Chillotothe, Ohio; Marcia (Frank) Corso of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania; William (Shirley) Rowley of Chillotothe, Ohio; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Marjorie (William) Radke of Florida; brother, Theodore Mosher of Arcadia, Michigan. She was preceded in death by one son, James Wilber Mast. Graveside services were held on Memorial Day of 2002 from the Benzonia Cemetery in Benzonia following cremation.
