Viola M. Bengtsson, age 94 of Hesperia, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Viola was born on November 23, 1916 in Bitely to Charles and Freda (McClure) Ward and later married Edward Bengtsson on October 14, 1939 in White Cloud. Edward preceded her in death on September 30, 1977. Viola grew up in the Bitely area and moved to Hesperia in 1948 where she had been a homemaker and enjoyed listening to music, watching the birds, reading and word search puzzles. Viola is survived by her sons, Charles (Furlo) Bengtsson of Hesperia; Dennis (Nancy) Bengtsson of Hesperia; 8 grandchildren, Kevin (Donna) Roberson; Troy (Ilene) Roberson; Tim Bengtsson; Amber (Eric) Petersen; Gabe Bengtsson (fiancee, Sasha Beaudoin); Richard (Gailene) Smith; Todd (Brandee) Smith; great grandchildren, Makayla Smith; Alexander Smith; Darcy Roesler; Sarah Fessenden; Anna Petersen; Kelvin Roberson; Mackenzie Roberson; Ashlynn Quaintance; 8 great great grandchildren; her brother, Robert Ward of Hesperia. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Arlene Joyce Roberson; Lola Marie Smith; her brothers, Chester, Thomas, Patrick; sisters, Charlotte and Kathleen. VISITATION : Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 5-8pm at Crandell Funeral Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 2pm at the Hesperia Presbyterian Church.
