Babula, Violet M. Violet M. Babula, age 83 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2002 at the Nelsons Adult Foster Care Home in White Cloud. She was born on July 16, 1919 in East Chicago , Illinois to John and Catherine (Kosmedier) Babula and moved to White Cloud in 1962. Violet had been a secretary at the Newaygo County Road Commission for 37 years until her retirement. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud and had been active in the Alter Society. She was also a member of the White Cloud Garden Club and had been a Gray Lady from 1955-1971. She is survived by her sisters, Irene Freudenstein of Holton; Sophia Babula of Tucson , Arizona ; her brother, John Babula of Chicago ; 6 nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, September 30, 2002 from the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud with Rev. Father Tony Russo presiding with interment in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in White Cloud.
