Violet Grace Cox Violet Grace Cox, age 94 of Muskegon, passed away Monday, April 18, 2005 at the University Park Nursing Center in Muskegon. Violet was born on November 7, 1910 in Vermontville, Michigan to Joseph and Grace (McKelvey) Hawkins and married Rev. Harold Cox on July 22, 1932 in Battle Creek, Rev. Harold preceded her in death in 1988. Violet had been a registered nurse and was a member of the Crestwood United Methodist Church in Muskegon. She is survived by her children, Doris (Don) Brandt of Twin Lake; William (Nancy) Cox of Atlanta, Georgia; John (Carol) Cox of Stuart, Florida; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; her sister, Fern Yoder of Dowling, Michigan; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 1 brother. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 23, 2005 from the Tomoka United Methodist Church in Tomoka, Florida with interment in the Volusia Memorial Park in Volusia, Florida.
