Wilcox, Virginia H. Virginia H. Wilcox, age 90 of Kalamazoo, formerly of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2006 in Kalamazoo. Virginia was born on March 18, 1915 in Fremont, the daughter of Lester A. and Mattie L. (Jerred) Wilcox. Virginia graduated from Fremont High School and moved to Kalamazoo in 1932 where she attended Western Michigan University and received her Bachelors of Arts Degree from Western Michigan University. She later joined the United States Armed Forces and served from 1943 1946 in the WAVES (USNR). She had been a medical abstractor with the Upjohn Company until her retirement in 1977 after 37 years of service. Virginia was a member of the Westwood United Methodist Church. She is survived by several cousins and friends. Following her wishes, private interment services were held at her family burial plot at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont with Rev. Larry Wood of the Fremont United Methodist Church presiding. Friends may consider Hospice of Greater Kalamazoo for memorial contributions in memory of Virginia.
