Vivian M. Manchip, age 91 of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Vivian was born on April 2, 1924 to Ed H. and Mae (Blackmere) Peterson in Woodville and later graduated from White Cloud High School in 1942. Vivian married Dale L. Manchip in June 1944 in Woodville and together they moved to the Fremont area in 1956. Dale preceded her in death in 1981. Vivian enjoyed living on the family dairy farm where she worked for many years and also enjoyed crocheting, cross stitch, painting, drawing, and gardening. Vivian is survived by her children, Judy (Ron) Ream of Grant; Ed (Connie) Manchip of Fremont; Patty Hellam of Fremont; Nancy Manchip (Steve Burk) of Byron Center; her grandchildren, Bob (Rachelle) Ream; Cheri (Darin) Wood; Ty (Brooke) Manchip; Kirk (Meredith) Manchip; 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Peterson. Private graveside services will be held at the Sherman Township Cemetery following her wishes for cremation. Friends may gather at the Transitional Health Services - Michigan Room in Fremont on Sunday, October 25, from 2:00 - 4:00 for a memorial open house to visit with the family and share memories of Vivian.
