Vreta Mae Jackson, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dedicated community member, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15th, 2024, at the age of 95. Born on Monday, July 15th, 1929, in Jackson, Michigan, Vreta spent her wonderful and impactful life enriching the lives of all those around her.

A long-time resident of White Cloud, MI, moving from Jackson, MI to the area in 1965. Vreta was a devoted production worker with over 20 years of service at White Cloud Products. Vreta was more than her professional achievements. She was an avid crocheter, she loved to sew, found immense joy in raising her family and wintered in Florida for many years. Her love for volunteering was showcased in her longstanding commitment to the community and Faith Bible Church, where she offered her time and resources generously.

She is survived by her six children; sons, Burt (Peg) Jackson, Monte (Norine) Jackson, Robert (Mary) Jackson, and Allen (Nina) Jackson; and daughters, Virginia (Bruce) Vonwald, and Cheryl (Pat) Dunnahoo. Vreta's legacy is further celebrated by her 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished dearly. Vreta was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Huff and Ruth (Jones) Huff; her sister, Avalee Kalish; and her former husband, Richard Jackson.

A celebration of Vreta's life will be held in the summer of 2025, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember her. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Newaygo County Commission on Aging, an organization close to Vreta's heart.
