Waliyyuddin "Wali" Shakir, age 87, of Brohman passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at his home. Wali was born on July 24, 1934, in Holly Grove, Arkansas, to John and Phenoy (Smith) Carter and had worked for the C & O / Chesey System Railroad for many years. Wali married Ziyadah Plaut on December 28, 1972, in Grand Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at the Crandell Funeral Home in White Cloud. There will be a public visitation prior to the service starting at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in White Cloud Cemetery.
