Coon Sr., Walter Frederick, Walter F. Coon Sr., age 68, of Muskegon and formerly of Holton, passed away at home on January 22, 2004. He was born on October 29, 1935, in Newberry, Michigan, to Clifford and Alice (Adkins) Coon and married Juanita A. Beresford on October 18, 1958, in Plattsburg, New York, while serving in the United States Air Force. He was a co-owner of Golden Years Personal Care Home in Muskegon and managed MCS Of Greater Michigan. Walter is survived by his loving wife Juanita, of Muskegon; children, Tangela M. (David) Miller of Twin Lake, Tara L. Coon of Muskegon, Walter F. Coon Jr. of Holton, and Daniel L. Coon of Muskegon; foster son Ej (Sondra) Gee of Traverse City; grandchildren, Erica, Heather, and Lisa Roach, Angel, Aaron, and Avery Coon, Ian, Dustin and Zena Coon, and Tasonja Scott; great-grandchild Katelynn Szczesny; mother, Alice (Floyd) Zerlaut of Holton; sisters, Peggy (Thomas) Buckner, and Virginia (Gerald) Townsend; brothers, Clifford (Vivian) Coon, David (Fien) Coon, and Leonard (Rose) Coon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister Alice Carson. Walter will be lovingly and dearly missed by all. A Memorial service for Walter was held on Thursday, January 29, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. from the Holton United Methodist Church, 9530 N. Holton Duck Lake Rd.
