Walter Pisarski, age 84, of Fremont, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at Transitional Health Services in Fremont, Michigan. He was born on July 6, 1920, in Chicago to Joseph and Josephine (Butkiewicz) Pisarski and married Esther Marie Price in October 1962, in Portage, Indiana. Esther preceded him in death on September 14, 1995. He was a machinist and member of the International Teamsters Union #142, loved to golf and was an excellent boxer. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served during World War II and was a member of the Fremont Christian Church Disciples of Christ. He is survived by his children, Jerry (Karen) Laisure of Zeeland, Michigan; Linda L. (Lonnie M.) Bills of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Diane J. (Donald) Zettle of Cedar Springs, Michigan; grandchildren, Lonnie (Gina) Bills Jr.; Tracey (Brent) St. Pierre; Melissa Zettle; Jaime Laisure; Kathryn Laisure; greatgrandchildren, Alexandria, Xavier, and Nolan; his sisters, Pearl Pelka of Portage; Irene Curtis of Lake Station; his brothers, Bobby (Joan) Pisarski, Albert (Pat) Pisarski and Chester Pisarski all of Indiana; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Marcia Kolk of Fremont. He was preceded in death by brothers, Frank, Edward, Alex, and Raymond; and sister, Eleanor Labash. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 1, 2005 from the Fremont Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Fremont with Rev. David Dickinson presiding with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
