Wanita L. Shreck, age 68 of Holton, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. She was born on July 14, 1935 in Ionia County to LaVerne George and Mildred (Yerge) Frisbey and married James E. Shreck on August 4, 1954 in Indiana. James preceded her in death on January 29, 1994. Wanita has been a longtime resident of the area where she was a homemaker. She is survived by her children, Ada (Kenneth) Berry of Holton; Ida (Harold) Billings of Bitely; Gladys (Brad) McCombs of Holton; Rex Shreck of Holton; Robert (Lorrie) Shreck of Casnovia; Erwin Shreck of Montague; Albert Shreck of Walkerville; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Shreck and one brother, George Frisbey. Funeral graveside services were held on Monday, April 26, 2004 from the West Hesperia Cemetery in Hesperia.
