Wayne H. Chrystler, age 60 of Fremont, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Spectrum Health Blodgett Campus in Grand Rapids. Wayne was born on November 24, 1960 in Fremont to Harold L. and Thelma (Nordwall) Chrystler and graduated from Fremont High School in 1979. Wayne married Lori Luchies on November 26, 1983 in Fremont and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Wayne had worked in the farming industry all his life and had worked at Fremont Outdoor Power Equipment and Frens Nursery prior to his retirement. Wayne enjoyed working in his garage, driving tractors, raising cows, snowmobile racing, tractor pulls, drag racing. Wayne was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont. Wayne is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lori of Fremont; his children, Jeremy (Paige) Chrystler of Fremont; Megin (Jonathan) Boes of Fremont; his granddaughter, Claire; his sisters and brothers, Shirley (Gary) Nelsen of Fremont; Nancy Chrystler of Fremont; Paul Chrystler of Muskegon; Larry Chrystler of Fremont; Ron Chrystler of Fremont; several sisters-in-laws and 1 brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Hagen; his father, Harold L. Chrystler; his step father, Arnold Hagen, by his sister, Carol and brothers, Kenneth and Donald. VISITATION : Monday, December 21, 2020 from 4pm – 7pm at Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel 7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412. NOTE : during the visitation, a limited number of people will be permitted into the funeral home and friends will need to rotate in and out of the funeral home during the visitation with face coverings being required.
