Penland, Wesley Eugene Wesley E. Penland, age 70, of White Cloud passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2004, at Spectrum Health Services in Grand Rapids. He was born on July 8, 1933, in Lincoln Township, to Wesley and Elvira (Hills) Penland Sr. and married Barbara Fessenden on September 12, 1953 in White Cloud. He was an auto mechanic at Fremont Automotive for 22 years and then worked at Sundor Products for several years. Wesley was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Wesley is survived by his loving wife Barbara of White Cloud; children, Yvonne (Kevin) Loucks of White Cloud, Leon Penland of East Jordan, Don (Linda) Penland of Brohman, Steve (Peggy) Penland of White Cloud, and Mike (Sue) Penland of White Cloud; 16 grandchildren; and uncle Sam (Carol) Hills of Fremont. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, February 14, 2004, at 1 p.m. from the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in White Cloud with Rev. Lucky Fulton officiating.
