William "Bill" B. Richards, age 89 of White Cloud, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the Metron Nursing Center in Big Rapids following a lingering illness. Bill was born on May 20, 1930 in White Cloud to Bert and Eloise (Sweeney) Richards and graduated from White Cloud High School in 1949 and then enlisted in the United States Air Force before his return to White Cloud. Bill married Rosemary (Felos) Gacek on July 20, 1959 in White Cloud and Rosemary preceded him in death on May 17, 2008. Bill had owned and operated Richards Oil Distribution for over 35 years in White Cloud until 1993 and also owned and operated Richards Floral in White Cloud with his wife Rosemary until their retirement in 1995. Bill was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and had been an active member of the White Cloud Lions Club. He also enjoyed attending antique cars and antique tractor shows, had been active in White Cloud community including serving on the White Cloud City Council and the White Cloud School Board and White Cloud Fire Department. Bill is survived by his daughter, Denise Gray of White Cloud; his grandchildren, Brendan Gray of White Cloud; Abby Gray of White Cloud; Lacy Gray of White Cloud; his sisters and brothers, Carol Manchip of White Cloud; Ronald (Barbara) Richards of White Cloud; Patsy (William) Rottman of Traverse City; Terry (Judy) Richards of Wellston; Don (Sally) Richards of New Era; Jean Albanese of Stevensville, Michigan; Marcy (Larry) Hayes of North Canton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. VISITATION : Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 4-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel with a Lions Memorial Service at 6:30 at the funeral home.
