William H. "Hank" Brooks, age 82 of Hesperia, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Hank was born on December 12, 1934 in Muskegon to Robert R. and Corinne (Evans) Brooks. Hank joined the United States Army where he served during the post Korean Era until his honorable discharge. Hank then started working at the Schwallier Orchards in Coopersville where he worked for many years until his retirement in 1991. Hank married June Louise Golden Batch on May 15, 1981 in Hesperia and June preceded in death in 2016. Hank was a tinkerer and enjoyed taking things apart, had enjoyed deer hunting, camping and especially treasured the time he spent with his granddaughters.

Hank is survived by his son, Ernest (Verta) Batch of Hesperia; his granddaughters, Cynthia (Bill) Bostian of Hesperia; Rachel (Brent) Grasmeyer of Muskegon; Kari Batch of Hesperia; Joy Hendrick of Muskegon; Kim (Scott Wenell) Alexander of Hesperia; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Adriana, Justin, Taytum, and Brysen; several brothers and sisters. Hank was preceded in death by his wife, June; his daughter, Rebecca Hendrick; and several brothers and sisters.

VISITATION : Friday, November 3, 2017 from 11-12pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. MEMORIAL SERVICES WITH MILITARY RITES : Friday, November 3, 2017 at 12pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : Hart Cemetery.
