William "Bill" Clare Billings, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on August 11, 1936, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Bill made a lasting impact on the lives of those who knew him and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A proud and hardworking man, Bill dedicated his career to general labor, retiring only after ensuring he had provided the best for his family. Known for his unyielding work ethic and kind heart, Bill touched the lives of all who knew him.

Bill was a man of many interests and talents. He found joy on the greens as an avid golfer, excelled with a bowling ball in hand, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at the casino club in Grand Rapids. His love for the great outdoors was evident in his fondness for hunting and fishing. A skilled craftsman, Bill spent countless hours in his workshop, creating beautiful furniture pieces that will be cherished by his family for generations to come.

First and foremost, Bill was a devoted family man. He leaves behind an adoring and beloved wife of 43 years, Cheryl M. (Six) Billings of Newaygo, MI, whose unwavering love was the cornerstone of his life. Bill is also survived by his cherished daughters, Laurie (Donald) Clary, and Sue Billings, as well as his sons, Rodney McCarry and Steven Michael (Julie) McCarry. His legacy continues through his 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, each of whom he adored and inspired. Bill also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he regarded with affection.

Bill joins in eternal rest his dear parents, Mylon Billings and Ruth (Warner) Billings, all his siblings, his first wife, Karen "Kay" Billings, and his beloved son, Robert "Bert" Billings, whose memories he cherished deeply.
