William D. Bill Walkington, age 58 of White Cloud, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at his home. Bill was born on May 29, 1953 in Grand Rapids to Arlo and Barbara (Hessel) Walkington and later married Shelby Spratling on September 15, 1984 in Grand Rapids. Bill started his career at the Steelcase Company where he worked for 28 years until his retirement. After a short time, Bill then started work in the shipping and receiving department of Magna Mirrors in Newaygo where he has worked for the past 12 years. Bill was a member of the White Cloud United Methodist Church; enjoyed spending time with his friends; loved the fellowship of deer camp in the fall and was a long time Detroit Lions fan. Bill truly loved his children and loved being married to his wife, Shelby. SURVIVORS : his wife, Shelby of White Cloud; his daughter, Lindsey (Chet) Loonsfoot of White Cloud; his son, Ben Walkington of Denver, Colorado; his grandson, Easton Loonsfoot; brother, Roger (Karon) Walkington of Cedar Springs; sisters, Vicki (Keith) Bartman of Jenison; Brenda Hagen of Grandville; brother-in-law, Mike (Joan) Spratling of Newaygo; sister-in-law, Sheila (Lee) Hopkins of Rockford; several nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Walkington and by his sister-in-law, Sheryl Reaser. VISITATION : Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 5-8pm and Friday from 11-12pm at the White Cloud United Methodist Church.
