William Edward "Bill" Cross II, age 98, of White Cloud, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021, at Mission Point Nursing Home in Big Rapids. Bill was born on September 20, 1922 in Burlington, Iowa, to William E. and Verna (Moyer) Cross and had worked construction with Geocon Inc. in Grand Rapids for over 30 years. Bill married Dorothy Weaver on August 14, 1982 in Port Richey, Florida. Bill proudly served in the United States Navy and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Bill is survived by his children, William (Delores) Cross III of Baldwin; Cheryl Plotts of White Cloud; and Terry Lee Cross of White Cloud; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; his brothers, Lloyd Cross and Wes Cross. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; son, Kenneth Cross; brothers and sisters, Charles Evelyn, Walter, Wanda, and Bud; and son-in-law, Richard Plotts. Military and Graveside Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery with a lunch following at Big Jackson Church.
